Americans Departing By Plane, Train Or Automobile Expected To Spend Billions On Vacation

Still wondering if the U.S. economy has rebounded from the depths it sunk to during the “Great Recession”? Then consider this: Americans are expected to spend more than $100 billion on summer vacations in 2017. According to a July 2017 article from marketwatch.com, which is a part of Dow Jones’ Consumer Media Group, the $101.1 billion figure is an increase of 12.5 percent over 2016. The report adds that those between the ages of 35 and 54 are expected to spend approximately $2,600 on their summer vacation and lower gas prices may be one of the reasons why millions of Americans feel comfortable about getting out of a town for a week.

“Americans are feeling better about the economy and have loosened their purse strings for summer 2017,” Daniel Durazo, communications director with Allianz Global Assistance USA, told the financial news website.

With this in mind, we expect some of those vacationers who plan to fly this summer will be searching for Bradley Airport parking, in Connecticut. By trusting an airport parking facility with your vehicle while you’re away, you’ll be able to concentrate on time spent at the beach or inside of a foreign museum instead of wondering whether or not your car is safe where it is. Bradley airport parking, and parking at most facilities located near major international airports for that matter, are smart decisions and pay dividends for those who decide to take this route. Under the watchful eye of guards, there’s little doubt that you’ll find your car or truck just as you left it.

The marketwatch.com report adds that a study of 1,000 U.S. adults conducted by insurance company Allianz revealed more than half of those responding were “confident” that they’d take a vacation in 2017. While the majority of summer vacations are done via motor vehicle, there will still be no shortage of Bradley airport arrivals from those landing in the New England region for their vacation. Those who are departing the airport – which is conveniently located between Hartford and Springfield — will likely need Bradley Airport parking. Whether you take advantage of our valet services or the self-park option, there will still be a shuttle to get you to your flight on time.
